Privacy Policy

CamControl · Last updated 20 June 2026

CamControl does not collect any personal data. Your camera feed never leaves your Mac.

Everything happens on your Mac

CamControl reads your camera, applies the adjustments you choose, and passes the result to your video app - entirely on your device, in real time. Your video is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to the developer or any third party.

Camera access

macOS asks for your permission before CamControl can use the camera. That access is used solely to process the live image for the virtual camera. You can revoke it any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.

What's stored locally

Your settings and saved presets are stored only on your Mac, so the app remembers your preferred look between sessions. None of this information is sent anywhere.

No network, no third parties

CamControl does not connect to the internet to function. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs, and shares no data with anyone.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
