Privacy Policy

FindPad · Last updated 20 June 2026

FindPad does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

Your files stay on your Mac

FindPad only ever reads and writes the files you choose to open or save. Their contents are never transmitted to the developer or any third party. FindPad runs inside Apple's App Sandbox, so it can access only what you explicitly open.

What's stored locally

To make the app convenient, FindPad keeps a few small preferences on your Mac: your view settings (line numbers, word wrap, syntax highlighting) and a list of recently opened files. The recent-files list uses Apple’s security-scoped bookmarks and is stored only on your device. None of this leaves your Mac.

No network, no third parties

FindPad does not send your documents or any usage data over the network. It contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Children

The app is safe for all ages. Because it collects no data, it collects nothing from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
