Privacy Policy
Window Switcher · Last updated 4 July 2026
Window Switcher does not collect any personal data. It has no network access - no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
Everything happens on your Mac
Window Switcher lists your open windows and brings the one you pick to the front. It does this entirely on your device and connects to no servers - there is nothing to collect and nowhere for data to go.
Accessibility access
macOS asks for Accessibility permission so the app can detect your keyboard shortcut and raise the window you choose. This access is used only for switching windows; nothing about your windows or keystrokes is stored or transmitted. You can revoke it any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
Screen Recording (optional, for thumbnails)
If you turn on Window Thumbnails, macOS asks for Screen Recording permission so the app can capture a small live preview of each window. Those previews are rendered on your Mac and are never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Leave thumbnails off and this permission is never requested.
What's stored locally
Your preferences - shortcut, menu bar display, filters, layout and thumbnail settings - are stored only on your Mac so the app remembers them between launches. None of this information leaves your device.
No network, no third parties
Window Switcher does not connect to the internet to function. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs, and shares no data with anyone.
Children
The app is safe for all ages. Because it collects no data, it collects nothing from children either.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
